Trey Cook: Artist|Songwriter|Composer|Musician|Clinician|Vocal Coach Trey is a native of Norfolk, VA. He hails from a very musically inclined family on both his maternal and paternal side. His father, a very skilled organist and pianist, and his mother, a gifted singer, instilled and constantly kept Trey around music. At the age of 3, Trey began playing the drums and by the age of 6 he was the church drummer for his home church where he kept that position until the age of 12. At the age of 12 Trey's grandfather began showing him chordings and scales on the piano. Since then, Trey has went above and beyond his family's wildest expectations. His natural ear for music and God given gift of songwriting has propelled him into places that he could not even imagine. Trey has served as musician for numerous churches, has been on tour internationally in Europe, and now is the Director of Music for the Antioch Baptist Church in the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. Trey has been afforded the opportunity to work with such artists such as Charles Butler, James Fortune, Sam Roberts, Kevin Terry, Resound, Dorina Clark-Cole, Michelle Prather, Khare Hawkins and the list goes on. Cook's lyrics touch the hearts of many. He bases those lyrics off of real life struggles and experiences. Being a miracle child, Trey's testimony is clearly displayed through his ministry not only while singing, but in everyday life also. Trey has since stepped into his solo career as a solo artist releasing his new single entitled "OutPour" set to release February 19th. With his relocation to the DMV, he is excited for the opportunities and doors God is going to open for him as he embarks upon this new journey. Trey believes in and stands on the Word of God and declares that no matter what has happened in his past, and where this journey takes him in the future, Romans 8:28 will be his mantra, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
